Red Bull Rookies Beef-Up For The Upcoming Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MME)

Red Bull Energy Drink has recently introduced its all-female race team the "Red Bull Rookies" for the upcoming Merdeka Millennium Endurance (MME) Race at the Borneo Baruk Club,Kuala Lumpur.The Red Bull Rookies comprise four dynamic young ladies with a passion for motorsports, namely Leona Chin, Norbaizura Ruslan, Norlina Johor and Puteri Ayu Jasmin.These young lasses will be racing their gold racecar in the nation's most highly anticipated 12-hour endurance race at Sepang F1 International Circuit this coming August 2008.

Present at this auspicious event was Chief Executive of Malaysian Motorsports Association, Mr Mia Sharizman, who expressed his support towards the Red Bull Rookies and applauded Red Bull Malaysia’s effort in promoting motorsports for Malaysian women, said ” Red Bull Malaysia is clearly in tandem with our objectives in the motor sport arena.He added Red Bull Malaysia's programme is truly an extra ordinary initiative which is designed to enhance skills and develop talents among the ladies”.The four spunky Red Bull Rookies were carefully selected from more than 600 female participants vying for a spot in the four-girl team and have been undergoing intensive training modules with Asia Advanced Driving Academy Sdn. Bhd. (AADA) eversince, learning the critical and essential aspects of racing- physical training, team dynamics, racing techniques and interpersonal skills.

Mr Kenvin Low (former MME podium finish racer and current chief trainer at AADA) explained, ” Personally, training the Red Bull Rookies has been an interesting experience as ladies have more patience compared to men and the racing techniques should fully equip them for the challenge that awaits them at MME”.Nationwide search for Red Bull’s new female drivers also has begun with the launch of Red Bull Female Driver Search ‘08.Females aged between 18 and 30 years with a fervour for motorsports are strongly encouraged to log on to official Red Bull Female Driver Search ‘08 website for registration, www.redbull.com.my/rbfds .Closing date for registration is 17th of October,2008. The Red Bull Rookies team is in partnership by AADA, Oakley, SOL Helmets, Kenwood Walkie-Talkies, Motorsports Playground, Borneo Baruk Club and Yeos.
