Carlsberg Malaysia has recently launched its “Meet the Stars of the Top Ten Charity Road Show”at Redbox Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. The Top Ten Charity Campaign is sponsored and organised by Carlsberg Malaysia in collaboration with two media organisers China Press and Nanyang Siang Pau.At the launch a Hollywood-like grandeur of welcome was specially arranged to welcome the new cast of Top Ten's artistes that wil be performing at the two rounds of fund-raising charity road shows this year.Mr. Soren Holm Jensen, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia said the charity campaign is aimed at raising funds in support of the development of local Chinese educational institutions and providing financial aid to needy Chinese students who wish to pursue their tertiary education.It is also to provide upcoming Malaysian artistes a perfect platform to develop their talents in front of live audiences by performing in the road shows around the country.He added the artistes were not only enthusuastic in lending a hand to support the Chinese education by performing at the nationwide road shows but also looking forward to participate in public Top Ten Charity Campaign by making special appearances to promote the road shows.Recorded as the “Longest running charity event” by the Malaysian Book of Records, the Top 10 Charity Campaign has helped more than 550 Chinese primary schools in Malaysia to implement development plans.Last year alone The Top 10 Charity Campaign has managed to raise RM 19 million in 3 rounds of 17 roadshows. The celebration was made more special as total funds to-date raised by this campaign surpassed the RM300 million mark.
