MM Vitaoils Launches Healthy Cooking TV Programme



MM Vitaloils has recently launched its "Selera Ramadan MM Vitaoils" ,a cooking show featuring special recipes using MM Vitaloils products such as Palmas & Serimas Cooking Oil,Rise & Shine,Blossommm and Marvelloso Margerine, Qualitaste Shortening and Golden Treat Vegetable Ghee.The Selera Ramadan MM Vitaloils TV programme which was produced by MM Vitaloils Sdn Bhd with the co-operation of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) is officially launched by the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department,YB Senator Dato' Dr Mashitah Ibrahim together with Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Yusuf Basiron ,MM Vitaloils Chairman Datuk Haron Siraj ,MM Vitaloils Managing Director ,Encik Mazlan Muhammad and Celebrity Chef Puan Norzailina Nordin.

Begins on 1st of September ,the 30-minute programme will be aired on RTM 1 at 5.00 am over the next 30 days in line with the coming fasting month and those getting ready for work as well as homemakers starting their days early.A re-run of the day's programme will be aired on the same day at 12.30 pm. Hosted by Celebrity Chef Norzailina Nordin the 30-episode show will feature two recipes in each episode using MM Vitaloils products as well as educational and motivational talks by learned Muslim personalities.


In conjunction with the launch MM Vitaloils has also unveils its "Selera MM Vitaloils" recipe book " at the event. All recipes in the 75-page book were specially created by Celebrity Chef Puan Norzailina for the health conscious cooking enthusiasts and recipe collectors so they can own an exclusive collection of local ,traditional and international recipes using MM Vitaloils' quality palm oil-based products.The book is available at all major bookstores nationwide with retail price of RM12.90 per copy and as part of the company 's social respnsibilities ,all royalties from the sales will be donated to Pusat Zakat Selangor for underprivillidged children in the state.

According to Datuk Haron ,the TV programme and recipe book are among the company's continuous efforts to create awareness of the nutritional value and health benefits of palm oil-based products.MM Vitaloils products which mainly based on Palm oil element is rich in caratenoid, pro Vitamin A, antioxidant ,Vitamin E and many other nutrients.He added all the
MM Vitaloils products are free from Trans Fatty Acids ,which will help reduce the chances of getting heart disease ,"

Meanwhile MM Vitaloils Managing Director ,Mr Mazlan Muhammad said MM Vitaloils which specialised mainly cooking oil, shortening , margerine and vegetable ghee products has the capacity to produce 12,000 metric tonnes of palm oil products per month and about 97% of total production is exported .MM Vitaloils markets its products to 64 countries with Europe importing 30% of its total production as its largest market.It has recorded a revenue of RM87 million in 2007 ,an increment of 53% from RM57 million in 2006. The rise in revenue is due to greater demand of the company's products ,"

"In many parts of the world ,palm oil-based food products have become a substitute to food products that contain trans fats .This is due to a global trend where healthy foods are becoming increasingly popular". He said European countries and the United States have started to prohibit the use of oil and margarine containing animal fat in their restaurants and food manufacturers.
This is encouraging development for MM Vitaloils and promises a bright future for the company" said Datuk Haron.
