Recently-Galeri Petronas has officially launched its exciting opener for 2008 exibitions programme with the "Matahati-For Your Pleasure",a monumental survey exihibition featuring over 107 works by Matahati, a Malaysia's leading art collective. Matahati comprises of 5 prominent artists known as Ahmad Fuad Osman,Ahmad Shukri Mohamed,Bayu Utomo Radjikin,Hamir Soib and Masnoor Ramli Mahmud,This exhibition is part of the "Art For Everyone" programme which celebrates Galeri Petronas 10th anniversary at the PetronasTwin Towers.Organised by Galeri Petronas and curated by June Yap ,this show-stopping exibition featuring paintings,sculptures,installations and video spans four venues,each carrying a specific theme:Galeri Petronas (Early Years,Developments & Explorations,Humanity & Community) ; The Annexe Gallery(Art & Life in Contemporary Malaysia);House of Matahati (Self & Representation);and 12 Art Space Gallery (Taking Issue with Art).The launch mMatahati exhibition and its accompanying publication was officiated by the Y.M.
